We are a foster family for AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport (www.aheinz57.com). There is a contest going on sponsored by The Animal Rescue Site and Petfinder. It is a chance for Aheinz57 to get up to a $10,000 grant if we can get the most votes in the country. We are currently in 2nd place in Iowa and have slipped to 75th in the country. The shelter that is in first place in Iowa is also in first place in the nation. Our goal is to beat them.
This contest goes through April 18 and you can vote everyday. There are six sites you can vote on each day. When you get to one of the sites, just type in IA for the state and Adel for the city and this will be the only shelter that comes up. It remembers your choice for each following day. Once you choose to vote for the shelter, you will need to verify by typing in what animal you see in the picture. The whole process for all 6 votes should only take about 2 minutes.
You cannot imagine how much this money would help. Amy Heinz started the rescue and uses her own money to pay for anything that donations don't cover. She has a huge heart and is doing a great job.

You can either click on each link individually, or if you will allow my site to do pop-ups, you can just click on "VOTE!" and it will automatically open all six sites for you at once. I'm still working on a way to have all six sites open at the same time on this one page so you can just click each and hit vote. We'll see if I can figure that out.
